A little of everything

Rite Aid Trip 10/23/12

Rite Aid had a couple of deals so stopped by today during lunch.

Before I started my transaction, I asked the cashier to opt me out of the Load2Card feature.  I didn’t like having my UP’s on my card.  I like to have the paper, so I can remember to use them and it seems so much easier to figure out when to use them and on what.  I thought that it wouldn’t take effect right away, but it did.

  • 6 – Nivea Lip Care 0.17 oz $2.50 ea
  • 2 – Dial Complete hand soap 9.375 oz $2.00 ea
Coupons Used:
  • 3 – $3.00/2 Nivea Lip Care Stick, 0.17 oz or Tube, 0.3 oz
  • 2 – $0.35/1 Dial Liquid or Foaming Hand Soap or Bar, 3 ct or larger
Total OOP:  $10.77 ($9.30 + $1.47 tax) ~ Received $5.00 & 2 – $1.00 UP’s

*Retail Value before sale prices, coupons and w/o tax $22.52

I thought I would get 2 extra $1.00 UP’s for the Dial soap which are part of a monthly reward, but since I didn’t purchase the foaming version I only received the first 2 instead of 4.  They were sold out of the foaming at the store I visited, but I’m okay with it.  If you think about it after the UP’s I received and not including tax, I only paid $2.30 for everything.  That’s the price of one soap or one lip care item.
