A little of everything

CVS GC Challenge (Round 2) Trip#3 08/20/12

Trip #3 of my current CVS gift card challenge.

The balance from my last trip is:
  • $19.15 Gift Card
  • $5.00 ECB
  • $24.15 Total

I’m actually starting out with more because I received my $5.00 beauty buck ECB and for some reason CVS gave me another $5.00 ECB to use on anything.  I’m not really sure why.  I just happened to notice it when I went on the iPhone app and thought it would print out at the CVS machine which it didn’t.  I remembered that it had an option to add it to my card from the app so while I was in the store I went ahead and added it.  I wasn’t sure if it would show up right away, but it did!  The cashier asked if I wanted to use and I said yes, please!  I ended up doing two transactions, but I really could have done just one.  I thought my ECB’s were going to print out individually, but instead they printed as one total.  Which I forgot about, so I wasn’t able to use them on my 2nd transaction.

  • 2 – Revlon Just Bitten lipstain + balm $6.49 ea
Coupons Used:
  • 2 – $1.00/1 Revlon color cosmetic

  • 1 – $1.00 ECB
Total OOP:  $7.91 ($6.98 + $0.93 tax) Used GC ~ Received $8.00 ECB’s

*Retail Value before sale prices, coupons and w/o tax $18.98

Remaining balance:
  • $9.51 Gift Card
  • $20.00 ECB

I’m a couple bucks shy of another $5.00 ECB for $50.00 in the Beauty Club.  If I can find something cheap, I’ll be back to what I started this new challenge with!
