A little of everything

CVS Trip 06/22/12

My trip to CVS on Friday got a little messed up, but still came out okay.  I only had to spend a little over a dollar to get my $4.00 ECB on Revlon, so I was purchased an eye shadow which I thought was $5.99, but ended up being on clearance.  So I ended up doing two transactions since clearance items don’t count towards ECB’s.

~ Transaction 1 ~
Purchased:
  • 1 – Schick Hydro Silk razor $8.99
  • 1 – Revlon eye shadow $1.37
Coupons Used:
  • 1 – $4.00/1 Schick Hydro Silk
  • 1 – $5.00/1 Schick Hydro Silk CVS coupon (reduced down to $4.36)
  • 1 – $2.00 ECB
Total OOP:  $0.80 ($0.00 + $0.80 tax) ~ Received $3.00 ECB

*Retail Value before sale prices, coupons and w/o tax $18.98

I had a new cashier and because the CVS Schick coupon was worth $5.00, a cent over he didn’t know how to reduce my coupon down to $4.99 and ended up using my ECB first.  Once he received help, they reduced my coupon to $4.36 which ended up paying everything but the tax.

~ Transaction 2 ~
Purchased:
  • 1 – Revlon Top Coat nail polish $6.79
Coupons Used:
  • 1 – $3.00 ECB
Total OOP:  $4.32 ($3.79 + $0.53 tax) ~ Received $4.00 & $1.00 ECB

*Retail Value before sale prices, coupons and w/o tax $6.79

I ended up spending a little over $5.00 for $25.00 worth of product and have $5.00 left in ECB’s.
